The specialist for pigment preparations is introduced

Arichemie presents itself, for the first time, as a specialist in the development and production of pigment preparations at the European Coatings Show, the leading trade fair for the international colour and lacquer industry in hall 9 at stand 9-350. They will introduce their entire product portfolio of aqueous and non-aqueous pigment pastes for paints and lacquer, printing colours, adhesives and sealants, building materials and plastics. The company, which was founded in 1956, will focus on its product highlights and its service at the trade fair.

Pigment preparations for aqueous applications: Vocaflex
With its Vocaflex range, Arichemie offers pigment preparations which are VOC free or low in VOCs and environmentally friendly. The product range is distinguished by its variety of colours, strong, brilliant shades and a wide selection of high quality organic and inorganic pigments. These are particularly enduring in the critical range of shades of yellow, red and orange, due to its high level of light fastness, and retain their colour for a long time. The pigment preparations are suitable for use as pastes for dosing systems and mixing units. The main areas of application are as emulsion paints for façades and interiors, silicate and acrylic plaster and latex paints. The pastes conform to the requirements for colours that fulfil the conditions of RAL UZ 102 and the 2nd stage of the EU Decorative Paint Directive 2010. In addition, they have shown themselves to be extensively compatible with many aqueous colour and lacquer systems. In order to meet further technical requirements, the range was developed to conform to the Toy Standard EN 71 of the BGVV (German Institute for Consumer Health Protection and Veterinary Medicine), or with pigments permitted by the FDA.

UV-hardening pigment preparations: Vocaplast-UV
This range is favoured for use in printing colours, lacquers and adhesives. It is based on a radical or cationic hardening system. The most suitable pigments are selected according to the area of application.

Pastes based on renewable raw materials: Aricolor-N, Vocaplast-P, Vocaplast-L
Aricolor-N is Arichemie’s newest development, which is based on, for example, castor oil or rapeseed oil according to the requirements of the customer. Excellent results have been revealed in solvent-based lacquers, sport flooring and thermoplastics, such as LPDE, HDPE, PP, PS, PSHI, ABS, SAN, ASA, SBS, PMMA, PC, PC/ABS, PA6, PA6.6, PA11, PA12, PBT, PET, POM.
Vocaplast-P was developed with the “green Polyol” Sovermol in cooperation with Cognis and is used especially in the building industry for industrial flooring.
Vocaplast-L is a paste based on linseed oil, which achieves an outstanding level of transparency in wood paints with various shades. But is also found in biopolymers based on maize or potato starch.

Aqueous pigment preparations based on binders: Vocateint
The binder used is an acrylic resin, which shows high levels of compatibility with most aqueous application systems. This range of pastes achieves excellent levels of gloss and homogeneity. Moreover, this range is used for the production of printing colours.

Universal pigment preparations: Aritint
Aritint is used in short-, medium- and long oil alkyd resin systems in exactly the same way as in aqueous application systems. The pastes have been developed for application in tinting systems and are stable in the cartridges.

Universally applicable range of pastes for polyurethan, epoxide and solvent-based lacquers: Vocaplast-1K
A hydrocarbon resin shows excellent compatibility with the largest areas of application in the building industry. This includes 1K or 2K PU systems, 1K or 2K epoxide systems, as well as for solvent-based lacquers, such as nitrocellulose paint. This range is ideal for customers who are looking for a paste for several different purposes.

Paste ranges based on plasticizer: Heliocolor-W
Phthalate-free or with a phthalate content
Plasticizer pastes are used in almost all industries. Arichemie provides a large range of organic and inorganic pigment preparations. The development in this sector is strongly client-specific, due to the customers’ technical requirements or requirements conditional on safety authorisations for use in toys, food-stuff related usages or similar special areas.

Client-specific product solutions
As clients are increasingly specialising on the market, demands for special solutions in terms of colour and application technology are also increasing. For this reason, Arichemie has a variety of different pigment preparations in its portfolio. The manufacturer’s development departments use this portfolio in such a way that their own unique colour systems can be built up and they can thus be distinguished from their competitors. The high level of flexibility provides a further advantage, as there is no restriction as a result of an established paste system.
